Armenia elaborates strategy of scientific and technology development

YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today chaired the first session of the Science and Technology Development Council.
Parliament Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan presented a strategy designed to booster Armenia's scientific and technological progress.
According to Arshakyan, the strategy is aimed at ensuring the leapfrog growth of the scientific and technological sector, and the goal is to develop and implement the mechanism of policy coordination and interconnected development of education, applied science and high-tech industry.
The strategy consists of 5 directions: artificial intelligence and machine learning, microelectronics, advanced robotics, quantum technologies, as well as bio-technologies and sciences, which include both educational, scientific and industrial components.
Working groups will be set up within the executive body to promote the development of these industries and increase the efficiency of investments. -0-
