Dalan Technopark and OVIO sign memorandum of co-operation
YEREVAN, 17 December. /ARKA/. A memorandum of co-operation has been signed between two companies creating IT infrastructure - Dalan Technopark and telecom operator OVIO.
‘An important co-operation has recently been launched between these companies to develop IT infrastructure. The aim of the partnership is to join forces to create better working conditions for the IT sector,’ the technopark's press office said.
In developing the techno-sector and making Armenia more attractive for global giants, both the privileges granted by the state and ensuring conditions in the buildings in accordance with international standards, as well as secure data processing and storage play an important role.
The first and unique of their kind in Armenia, two projects - OVIO Data Processing Centre and ‘Dalan’ Technopark - joined forces by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation.
As part of the cooperation, OVIO will provide internet services and advanced data centre solutions on preferential terms to organisations operating in Dalan Technopark, ensuring the security of these companies' data.

OVIO's data centre is the largest in Armenia and is built to high standards of TIER III equipment and infrastructure reliability. The centre is powered by two independent power substations, a redundant cooling system and 24/7 uninterrupted service. About Dalan Technopark
The development area of ‘Dalan’ will total 154 thousand square metres, providing 3000 workplaces. The Technopark will consist of 22 floors, 13 of which will house office premises, an exhibition hall, a research and development centre, a restaurant, a food court, a hotel, a gym, a swimming pool, conference halls and a shopping area.
The Technopark will be equipped with technological innovations, in particular, a fire alarm system in accordance with EN standards and with modern graphic visualisation, a system for transmitting special voice instructions in case of earthquakes and emergency situations, a video surveillance system with artificial intelligence technology and video analysis functions, special intrusion detection and alarm notification systems, and other technologies.
Construction work is going on at a rapid pace, ahead of the planned schedule. Concreting of the public premises is almost completed. Floors 1-4 are completely ready, construction of the 5th and 6th floors is nearing completion. At the same time, preparatory works on facade installation are underway, and soon the installation of engineering systems on the finished floors will begin. The Technopark will be commissioned in 2026.
About OVIO
OVIO is one of the leading telecom operators in Armenia. The company was founded in 2007 and since 2012 has been providing fixed Internet, Smart TV, fixed telephone network and a range of cloud services to private and corporate customers.
