YEREVAN, November 23. /ARKA/. Eighteen distance research labs will be founded in Armenia with the government allocating up to AMD 152,5mln to finance each for 5 years, the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reported.

Eighteen funded themes were chosen as a result of the tender on Remote Lab Creation Program. The funds will be spent on business trips of the research group, improvement of laboratory infrastructure and purchase of equipment.

Project leaders are highly ranked scientists living abroad, who are ready to realize their ambitious research ideas by creating and leading new research groups in Armenia.

The Remote Lab Creation Program competition will be held periodically, and the next phase will be announced shortly. -0-
