Armenia and Oman Establish Visa-Free Regime
YEREVAN, August 14. /ARKA/. Oman has included citizens of the Republic of Armenia in its list of countries exempt from entry visa, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today.
Earlier, Armenian Foreign Ministry announced that Omanis would be exempt from visas when travelling to Armenia, effective July 1, 2025. Under the new policy, Omanis can stay in Armenia for up to 180 days within a one-year period without needing a prior visa. The exemption aims to boost tourism, business exchanges and cultural ties between the two nations.
"The Government of Oman, highly appreciating the decision of the Government of Armenia to unilaterally exempt Omani citizens from the visa requirement to enter Armenia, has decided to mutually exempt Armenian citizens from the visa requirement to enter Oman from August 11," the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
Armenian citizens will now be able to make short-term trips to Oman, promoting the development of tourism ties and contacts between the two countries.
The Foreign Ministry informs that this decision was announced following political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Oman.
On May 22, 2025, the Government of Armenia made a decision to establish a visa-free regime for entry into Armenia for citizens of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Oman.-0-
