Armenia and Romania Explore Opportunities for Enhanced Tourism Collaboration

YEREVAN, February 13. /ARКА/. Lusine Gevorgyan, the Head of Armenia's Tourism Committee, along with senior officials from the Romanian Ministry of Economy, engaged in discussions about the potential for expanding tourism cooperation between their nations.

The meeting was held during Romexpo 2026. The Romanian delegation included Laurentiu Viorel Ghide, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism; Alin Grigore, Director General of the General Directorate of Tourism; and Dumitru Vaduva, a Member of the Chamber of Deputies.

Both parties acknowledged the significance of the direct flights from Bucharest to Yerevan operated by Wizz Air, as reported by the Armenian Tourism Committee.

They also highlighted the necessity of organizing FAM trips for media representatives, bloggers, and influencers. Additionally, they discussed the possibility of arranging an online meeting between Armenian and Romanian tour operators in 2026 to further enhance their collaboration.

The Armenian delegation extended an invitation to representatives from both the public and private sectors in Romania to join an event focused on medical tourism scheduled for the fall of 2026.-0-
