YEREVAN, December 11. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved a plan to create tourist villages during a meeting on Thursday.

The government's resolution indicates that the initiative will encompass nearly 60 settlements across all regions of the country, aiming for systematic and balanced territorial development of tourist sites.

The program seeks to help rural settlements achieve tourist village status following international best practices, ensure centralized and cohesive management of tourist destinations, align villages with tourism potential to international standards, safeguard local landscapes, biodiversity, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and local values, and implement strategies to promote tourism.-0-
