Armenia to develop infrastructure for MICE forums – Tourism Committee head
YEREVAN, November 28. /ARKA/. Armenia is ready to implement the necessary infrastructure for hosting international MICE forums, said Lusine Gevorgyan, chairperson of the Armenian Tourism Committee.
‘’The main goal of the forum is to discuss the potential and achievements of MICE tourism that Armenia can showcase," Gevorgyan noted at the opening of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) tourism forum in Yerevan on Thursday.
According to her, Armenia is a country with indescribably beautiful landscapes, a rich cultural and historical heritage, a well-developed culture of hospitality, and a centuries-old winemaking history, which positions the country as an ideal location for hosting such forums.
Gevorgyan reported that, according to the Numbeo 2024 World Safety Index, Armenia ranks 8th out of 146 countries, placing it among the top 10.
"This is a great source of pride for Armenia. The discussions at this forum should lead to concrete actions. The Tourism Committee must develop a specific action plan, particularly to make Armenia an attractive platform for hosting international forums," Gevorgyan said.
