Armenia and Serbia remove visas for travels
YEREVAN, January 30. /ARКА/. The government of Armenia decided today to grant visa-free travels to Armenia to citizens of Serbia. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts said that on October 25, 2019, Serbia decided to unilaterally remove the visa requirement  for Armenian citizens.

In fact, according to him, Armenian citizens will be able to stay in Serbia without a visa for a maximum of 90 days within six months or 180 days during one year.

He said in order to maintain parity, Armenia makes a similar decision regarding Serbian citizens, providing them with the right to visa-free visits for a period of 180 days during one year. According to the deputy minister, the removal of visas will enhance the free movement of citizens.

In this regard, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed  hope that such a good and important decision will stimulate the opening of new air routes.

“I hope that the decision will prompt  the launch of direct flights from Yerevan to Belgrade and other cities, including from Armenian Gyumri. This is an important area of Armenia’s foreign policy,” Pashinyan said.

Today, Armenia has visa-free regime with 63 countries. –0--
