Armenia, China scrap visas

YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi signed May 26 a number of documents following their talks in Yerevan.
The list of the signed documents includes an agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports, an agreement on extradition and a protocol for food safety, veterinary and plant protection.
Last Thursday, Armenia’s government approved a proposal to sign an agreement with China on the mutual elimination of visa requirements for the citizens of the two countries holding regular passports.
The agreement establishes a visa-free regime, exempting citizens of Armenia and China from the need to obtain a visa when visiting the respective country for up to 90 days. The introduction of the visa-free regime is expected to give a boost to economic and tourist potentials of the two countries. --0--
