Armenia is facilitating visa regime with Switzerland and abolishes visas for citizens of Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said on Thursday during a Cabinet session.
YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. Armenia is facilitating visa regime with Switzerland and abolishes visas for citizens of Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said on Thursday during a Cabinet session.
The government has approved today a visa regime facilitating agreement it had signed with Switzerland in February this year.
Kocharyan said the agreement provides for simplification of procedures for visas to citizens of Armenia for visits to Switzerland, where they can stay no more than 90 days within 180 days.
With regard to Iran, the relating agreement provides for full abolition of visa regime between the two countries, which will allow citizens of both countries to stay up to 90 days without visas in each other’s country within 180 days.
"This decision will strengthen Armenia’s relations with Iran, as well as to contribute to economic cooperation and development of tourism", Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said. -0-
