Armenian Airlines launches flights between Yerevan, Russia’s Ufa

The Armenian government approved a plan to create tourist villages during a meeting on Thursday.

On Monday, Gevorg Papoyan, the Armenian Minister of Economy, and Anoushirvan Bandpei, the Deputy Minister for Tourism at Iran's Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, explored potential collaboration in tourism and ways to increase tourist numbers.

According to the Tourism Committee, Armenia saw 2,241,081 tourists from January to November, down from 2,359,722 tourists during the same period last year.

Armenia set an unprecedented record for tourist flows in November 2025, announced Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

On Monday, Lusine Gevorgyan, the Head of the Armenian Tourism Committee, met with Muhammad Al-Sheikhli, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy in Armenia, to explore ways to enhance collaboration in the tourism sector.

Armenia and Oman are in talks to launch direct flights, the Armenian Tourism Committee announced following a meeting between Lusine Gevorgyan, head of the committee, and Salim Mohammed Al Mahrouk, Oman's Minister of Heritage and Tourism.
