In April 2025, 123,705 tourists visited Armenia compared to 163,970 tourists in March 2024, the Tourism Committee reported.

YEREVAN, May 22. /ARKA/. In April 2025, 123,705 tourists visited Armenia compared to 163,970 tourists in March 2024, the Tourism Committee reported.
The department noted that in April of this year, the largest number of tourist visits were registered from Russia (183,699 people or 36%), Georgia (76,095 people, 15%) and Iran (44,206 people, 9%).
At the same time, 510.4 thousand tourists visited Armenia in 4 months compared to 598.3 thousand in January-April last year.
A decrease in the total number of tourists arriving in Armenia has been recorded since last year.
Thus, according to Armstat, the number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia in 2024 amounted to 2,208,179, decreasing by 4.7% compared to 2023. The figure for the first quarter of this year is 386.7 thousand, with a decline of 11.3%. According to the analysis of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic, the decrease in tourist flows last year is primarily due to a decrease in the number of visitors from Russia, who make up the largest share (42.5% of the total number of all entries into the country versus 49.1% in 2023). -0-
