The number of tourists visiting Armenia over the first nine months increased by 0.8% to over 1.7 million

The number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia from January to September 2025 amounted to 1,734,247, compared to 1,721,245 for the same period in 2024, an increase of 0.8%, according to the Statistical Committee.

YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. The number of foreign tourists visiting Armenia from January to September 2025 amounted to 1,734,247, compared to 1,721,245 for the same period in 2024, an increase of 0.8%, according to the Statistical Committee.

Of the tourists who visited Armenia over the first three quarters, 776,995 were women and 957,252 were men. The largest number of tourists visiting the country were aged 36-63 (864,724), while the smallest number were aged 16-17 (27,170).

The largest number of tourists in Armenia came from Russia (713,479 people or 41.1% of the total, a decrease of 3.7% compared to January-September last year), Georgia (210,247 people or 12.1%, an increase of 5.6%) and Iran (138,010 people or 8%, an increase of 1.1%).

In addition, during the first 9 months of this year, Armenia was visited by citizens from the United States (50,599 people), China (34,446), France (28,241), Germany (25,699), India (20,843), Ukraine (20,171), Italy (16,202), the Republic of Korea (12,897), Belarus (12,580), the Philippines (12,325), the Netherlands (11,574), the United Kingdom (10,663), Poland (10,042), Turkey (9,115), Spain (7,970), Kazakhstan (7,401), the UAE (6,418), Greece (6,225), Belgium (6,084), Austria (5,335), Canada (4,901), the Czech Republic (4,858), Sweden (4,823), Israel (4,514), Cyprus (4,514), and the United Arab Emirates (6,418). 170), Lebanon (4,143), Syria (3,944), Australia (3,585), Egypt (3,489), Switzerland (3,124), and Uzbekistan (3,014).

The smallest number of tourists – 1 person each – came from England, Belize, Burundi, Guyana, Guinea-Bissau, Laos, Liberia, the Libyan Jamahiriya, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Malawi, Samoa, Niger, Sao Tome and Principe, and Tonga.

2 people each arrived from Botswana, Mali, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, Djibouti, Suriname, Swaziland, and Togo.

3 people each arrived in Armenia from Azerbaijan, Burkina Faso, and El Salvador. The report notes that 203 people arrived from an unknown country. At the same time, it is reported that 1,330,853 tourists departed Armenia in the first three quarters of 2025, compared to 1,302,080 in the same period of 2024 (an increase of 2.2%).-0-
