Investigation into violence against lawyer Karen Alaverdyan to be continued by NSS

Armenian Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan issued a decision on June 22 this year that the investigation into the criminal proceedings initiated by the Investigative Committee of Armenia on the basis of a complaint filed by lawyer Karen Alaverdyan is to be continued by the National Security Service (NSS), the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.

Deputy head of state revenue committee predicts drop in revenue collection rate

Deputy chairman of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee Armen Alaverdyan reiterated today his opposition to a law that abolished earlier this year a 20 percent tax levied from cars imported to Armenia from Russia and other members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) by individuals for personal use, saying the move will have a dramatic impact on tax collection rates in the next two years.
