Minister: 95% of 595 people hospitalized in Armenia with flu and acute respiratory infections are children

Some 595 people are currently hospitalized in Armenia with influenza and acute respiratory infections (ARI) and 95% of them are children under 18, Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said at a government session on Wednesday.

Some 630 patients with influenza and acute respiratory viral infections were hospitalized in Armenia as of March 20, Liana Torosyan, the head of epidemiology of especially dangerous and airborne infections of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a news conference on Tuesday.
