Armenia examines proposals for construction of new nuclear power unit- director general

The inter-agency commission set up by the government of Armenia to choose an option for the construction of a new nuclear power unit at the Armenian nuclear power plant (NPP) is looking into proposals received from Russian, American, French and Korean companies, the head of the nuclear power plant Eduard Martirosyan said Monday. He said the commission’s focus is on such features as capacity, safety and cost of construction of a new power unit.
