80 jewelry companies' products exposed at Yerevan Show 2015

Yerevan Show 2015 jewelry exhibition opened on Saturday in the Yerevan exhibition center in Meridian free economic zone.
YEREVAN, October 26. /ARKA/. Yerevan Show 2015 jewelry exhibition opened on Saturday in the Yerevan exhibition center in Meridian free economic zone.
The event was attended by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan and other officials.
«Armenian jewelers from many countries are taking part in this exhibition,» Gagik Gevorgyan, the head of the Armenian Jewelers’ Association (AJA), told journalists adding that this is the fifth exhibition.
He said 80 jewelry companies exposed their products here, while in 2014 their number exceeded 100. Gevorgyan explained this by economic difficulties.
In his words, Armenia is planned to host the World Jewellery Confederation’s annual congress.
«It means in this days Armenia will become the world center of jewelry industry,» he said.
Gevorgyan said this year's exhibition attracted jewellers from Russia, Turkey, the United States, Canada, Italy and other countries.
«The main aim of the Yerevan Show is to attract foreign buyers to Armenian jewelers' products, and this will make it possible to create new jobs. One month ago a jewelry factory was opened in the free economic zone,» he said.
Yerevan Show, which is organized by Meridian free jewelry zone, will last until October 26. --0----
