Armenian ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank earned a total of 5.8 billion drams in net drams last year, its CEO, Stepan Gishyan, said at a Friday news conference at Novosti International Press Center.

YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Armenian ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank earned a total of 5.8 billion drams in net drams last year, its CEO, Stepan Gishyan, said at a Friday news conference at Novosti International Press Center.
 
"The past year was quite successful for us, despite the crisis and tensions in international financial markets. In 2011 we exceeded pre-crisis figures," he said.
 
According to Gishyan, the bank’s loan portfolio amounted to 140 billion drams; assets grew to 222 billion drams and capital to 43.7 billion drams. He said these results, in particular, the assets are comparable with an average central or eastern European bank.
 
"These are pretty serious indicators in Armenia, especially when they are secured in the framework of a healthy loan portfolio," said Gishyan.
 
ACBA Agricole Bank is owned by French Credit Agricole SA (15.56%), "SACAM International (12.44%) and unions of Armenian farmers. Today, the bank operates 42 branches, of which 6 - in Yerevan. ($1 - 387.67 AMD).-0-
