Ameriabank invested $4.5 billion in Armenian economy since 2008

Since 2008, Ameriabank has provided Armenian companies with more than $4.5 billion in lending, the bank’s CEO Artak Hanesyan told a news conference today.
YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. Since 2008, Ameriabank has provided Armenian companies with more than $4.5 billion in lending, the bank’s CEO Artak Hanesyan told a news conference today.
According to him, about $1.2 billion of that amount was provided to companies engaged in export of Armenia-made products. Hanesyan said during this period the bank’s loan portfolio has grown by more than 39%.
He said in 2018, the bank’s consumer lending portfolio doubled, mortgage lending growth exceeded 50% and business loans grew by 14%. The number of bank customers also doubled. Hanesyan said new products introduced in early 2018 contributed to the growth in these indicators.
In particular, Hanesyan recalled that at the beginning of last year Ameriabank introduced online loans for individual clients based on their scoring, and also launched online loans for SMEs.
