Ameriabank opens new branch in Etchmiadzin

Ameriabank has opened today the 'Etchmiadzin' branch in the same name town in Armavir province of Armenia.
YEREVAN, October 15. /ARKA/. Ameriabank has opened today the 'Etchmiadzin' branch in the same name town in Armavir province of Armenia. This is the eighth branch of the bank outside the capital Yerevan, which will provide services on favorable terms to all customers who will open accounts in this branch until January 31, 2020.
Arman Barseghyan, Ameriabank Retail Banking Director, told reporters that the new branch will offer special rates to both individual and corporate clients. He said newly-created companies, if they open accounts in this branch, will be provided with Internet and mobile banking services and business cards with free service for the first year. Besides, debit and credit cards with free service for the first year will also be provided to two top managers of the company.
According to him, all individual clients who open accounts in the branch will also get Internet and mobile banking services with free service for the first year and all types of cards (except for Platinum and Infinite cards).
Barseghyan emphasized that Ameriabank puts emphasis on opening new branches not only in Yerevan, but also in the regions of the country, providing a wide range of services and products, ranging from business and consumer loans to traditional services and transaction opportunities.
"Recently, Ameriabank has expanded its activities in the regions of the country, and the opening of the branch in Etchmiadzin is part of that strategy. All the branches are universal as they offer all our services and products. In addition, the opening of the branch in Etchmiadzin will raise the quality of service to a new level," he said.
"Since the beginning of 2019, Ameriabank has been unveiling new products almost every month, especially digital services. We were the first in Armenia to launch digital lending, first for individuals and then for legal entities, thereby providing the opportunity to receive loans online without visiting the bank’s branches," said Barseghyan.
He also said that by the end of 2019, Ameriabank will come up with a new proposal to relocate business lending to the digital environment.
“This way, we will eliminate the constant need to visit the bank along with a pile of documents. We believe that this proposal is a significant innovative solution in the financial market that will significantly accelerate the process of obtaining loans and is convenient for customers,” he said.
The mayor of Etchmiadzin Diana Gasparyan told reporters that the opening of the Ameriabank branch will definitely stimulate economic activity in the town, facilitating access to banking services.
"Thanks to the opening of the branch, the residents of Etchmiadzin will not have to go to Yerevan to conduct banking operations, which is already a significant factor. In addition, there is already an agreement that the branch will contribute to the life of our town community with small projects," she said.
In turn, the governor of the Armavir region, Hambardzum Matevosyan, emphasized that the branch of Ameriabank in Etchmiadzin is the first not only in the region, but also in the entire economic zone of the Ararat Valley, which is of key importance to the country. According to him, the bank will provide substantial support in subsidizing local agricultural businesses.
"The branch will simplify the process of providing co-financing and subsidies to residents of the region. Besides, it will create new jobs and activate various social programs," he said.
