Ameriabank was the leading bank in Armenia in Cbonds’ 2016 arrangers’ league table that comprises issues of corporate bonds from Azerbaijan, Armenian, Georgian issuers and from international financial organizations placed in the domestic market of these countries.
YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Ameriabank was the leading bank in Armenia in Cbonds’ 2016 arrangers’ league table that comprises issues of corporate bonds from Azerbaijan, Armenian, Georgian issuers and from international financial organizations placed in the domestic market of these countries.
Cbond said Ameriabank was the leading bank in Armenia's domestic bonds issuers market having arranged three bond issues in the total amount of USD $22 million, accounting for 7.12% of all bonds issued in the South Caucasus last year. In Armenia four banks and one investment company arranged domestic issues of bonds in 2016.
"Noteworthy not only the banks’ arrangement of bond issuance in terms of volume, but also in terms of quantity. Thus Armenia had more bond issuing banks than its neighbors. This, in turn, indicates the presence of sound competition, development and absence of polarization in the bonds market", Cbond said in the statement.
