Armenia’s wine production drops by 3.4 % in 11 months of 2018

Armenia’s wine production in the first 11 months of 2018 dropped by 3.4% when compared to the same period in 2017, to 7.8 million liters, according to the latest numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Armenia’s wine production in the first 11 months of 2018 dropped by 3.4% when compared to the same period in 2017, to 7.8 million liters, according to the latest numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
According to statistics, production of vodka in the same time span decreased by 39.5% to over 5.7 million liters, production of whiskey fell by 32.1% to 998,100 liters, production of champagne wine dropped by 13.9% to 580,400 liters.
Brandy production increased by 0.2% to over 27.9 million liters, production of beer upped by 14.2% to over 19.5 million liters.
Also, production of non-alcoholic beverages amounted to 85.4 million liters, which was 14% more than in the first 11 months of 2017. -0-
