Armenia to host third Eurasian Week

The third Eurasian Week, the largest international business forum in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), will be held in Armenia for the first time on October 22-24, Hayk Mirzoyan, the head of the Business Armenia foundation, told journalists on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, September 18. /ARKA/. The third Eurasian Week, the largest international business forum in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), will be held in Armenia for the first time on October 22-24, Hayk Mirzoyan, the head of the Business Armenia foundation, told journalists on Tuesday. He said the first two forums were held in Russia and Kazakhstan. 

He said in Russia Armenian companies had signed 250 million drams worth contracts and in Kazakhstan they had signed pharmaceuticals contracts.

The Yerevan forum will be attended by 30 companies from each  Eurasian Economic Union  member states, featuring  food industry (food processing, agricultural products, organic products, fertilizers), pharmaceuticals (including cosmetics), light industry, production of building materials (innovative and smart materials), information technology and precision engineering, jewelry industry.

"The participating companies should comply with certain criteria and the main emphasis is on innovative and export-oriented enterprises," Mirzoyan said. 

The event is organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission, in coordination the Armenian Ministry of Economic Development and Investment, as well as the Business Armenia foundation. Participation in the forum is free of charge. Registration is on the official site. 

The aim of the Forum is to boost integration, growth of economic capacity and expand industrial cooperation between EEU countries. It is a platform for developing direct B2B contacts and engaging third-country companies as prospective consumers and investors to create competitive and export-oriented products. The Eurasian Week 2018 focuses on establishing subcontractor relationships, strengthening cooperation in the Eurasian economic space and stimulating trade with third countries. --0--
