Armenian Ararat Food Factory will invest $1.6-1.8 million in fruit and vegetable processing, the company CEO, Sargis Tarverdyan, told Friday the journalists.

YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. Armenian Ararat Food Factory will invest $1.6-1.8 million in fruit and vegetable processing, the company CEO, Sargis Tarverdyan, told Friday the journalists.
“In 2011 we invested $8.5 million in our company’s development, we will invest another $2 million this year,” he added.
He reported that the funds will be directed to developing the whole agricultural production processing, also five new industry lines will be set up offering additional 50 jobs.
Tarverdyan underscored that the factory uses the most modern technique and technology for fruit-processing and pomace, tea packing and Italian juice bottle conveyor.
In his turn, Sergo Karapetyan, the Armenian minister of Agriculture, said that launching fruit processing line is very important as it will allow Armenian farmers to sell their production on a stable basis due to the factory’s intend to double the volume of proceeded production.
The president of Armenia Serge Sargsyan was present last April 8 at the opening ceremony of the new Ararat food factory in Yerevan.
The factory produces juices and nectars, tea and canned goods. Up to 80% of the production branded “Ararat,” “Lina” and “Josy” is planned to be exported to CIS countries and Europe. -0-
