Armenian exports surge by 22 percent in 4 months

Armenia’s foreign trade in the first four months of 2016 surged by 19.4% when compared to the same time span of 2015 to about $1.7 billion, according to the latest numbers, released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s foreign trade in the first four months of 2016 surged by 19.4% when compared to the same time span of 2015 to about $1.7 billion, according to the latest numbers, released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).
Exports are said to have grown by 21.7% to $512.6 million, while imports grew by 18.4% to about $1.156.7 billion. The resulting negative trade balance stood at $644.1 million.-0-
