Armenian finance minister to lose his millions – newspaper
YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Gagik Khachatryan, Armenian finance minister, will lose his dealers and millions, Haykakan Zhamanak reports.

According to the newspaper, companies engaging in import and clearance of goods for other companies are in limbo now.

In fact, these companies are dealer offices affiliated to the Customs Service, which, along with customs authorities, set fees for clearing goods.

They operate in accordance with the following scheme: dealers accept goods from companies located in Turkey or Georgia, for example, perform customs clearing and provide these goods to organizations in Armenia’s territory.

The dealers were under the full control of Gagik Khachatryan, and after separating tax and customs agencies from the finance ministry, his ties with the mentioned offices will end up.

These offices deal with imports worth millions and billions of dollars and enjoy huge profits. Only tycoon importers don’t use dealer offices’ services.

Now representatives of these offices are calling their permanent clients and tell them that if they want to import their goods from abroad, it would be better to wait a bit.

The dealers are convinced that the shady dealings will be controlled by other persons soon. --0---
