Armenian Helicopters takes to the sky in partnership with ACBA Leasing (video)

YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. Three years ago the Armenian Helicopters Company introduced a new service - helicopter flights, having assembled a team of aviation professionals, and multifunctional helicopters took to the skies of Armenia, Acba bank said today.
“At first we had to find out what types of flights could be carried out in Armenia, after that we chose the types of helicopters and the first helicopter was purchased. It was an American-made Robinson R66, designed for 4 passengers,” says Arsen Manukyan, the director of the Armenian Helicopters Company.
The Armenian Helicopters carries out flights on a variety of occasions. Special routes for tourists have been developed, thanks to which one can see the sights of Armenia and save time. For example, flights to Tatev or Khor Virap monasteries.
After the American Robinson R66, a second helicopter, Airbus H 30, was purchased for 6 passengers. And the third, ambulance helicopter, was already a necessity for transporting patients. In 2019, negotiations began with Airbus, and specifically by order of the Armenian company, H125 was acquired in partnership with ACBA Leasing.
“We started negotiations with ACBA Leasing, and a decision was made to purchase the H125 helicopter. After the successful completion of the negotiations, we purchased the H125, which became the first helicopter sold by Airbus to Armenia,” Manukyan said.
During the 44-day war (in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone) last autumn, the Armenian Helicopters operated 86 flights from Yerevan to Syunik and back, delivering dozens of wounded heroes to specialized medical centers in Yerevan, which saved their lives. In the near future, the Armenian Helicopters technical service center will be opened, which is expected to become an official center in the region certified by Airbus.
