Armenian SRC launches platform for business entities to pay customs duties online

YEREVAN, December 30. /ARKA/. Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) has launched a pilot project, enabling business entities to pay customs duties online through the single electronic platform.
The SRC said in a press release today that all customs payments can be made online by a bank card.
According to Levon Nalbandyan, chief customs inspector of the SRC Information Technology Department, business entities engaged in foreign trade, will no longer need to visit a bank to pay customs duties, which can be done from their offices.
According to him, they need to enter the Electronic State Payments System and make the necessary payments within a matter of minutes.
“After making a card payment, the system automatically, after confirmations received from the electronic platform of government payments, considers this obligation to be met,” Nalbandyan said.
In addition to simple and fast customs payments with a bank card, the business entities also receive information about the crediting of money to the corresponding treasury account, which, in turn, reduces the time it takes to release goods.
The launch of the new electronic platform is especially important in terms of ensuring the safety of citizens in the event of an epidemic, the SRC said. It added that upon successful completion of the pilot project, the new system will be made fully operational. –0--
