Average price for one square meter in apartment blocks in Yerevan rose 6.1% in 2014 to about AMD 320,000, Ara Aduryan, head of Oliver Group real estate evaluation agency, said Tuesday at a news conference presenting the results of the agency's study based on market offers.

He told journalists referring to the results of real estate market analysis that highest price rise was recorded in Avan District – about AMD 283,000 per one square meter in 2014 against AMD 258,000 in 2013, and the lowest price rise was recorded in Erebuni – about AMD 261,000 against 259,000 respectively.
Aduryan singled out Yerevan's Kentron (Center) District for the highest average price – AMD 1.5 million per one square meter and said it was mostly due to the prices offered for luxury apartments in new-built blocks, and Kanaker-Zeytun for the lowest average price – AMD 106,000.
The study is based on the analysis of 19,000 indicators related to one-to-four-room flats in apartment blocks in Yerevan. Oliver Group is planning to conduct a similar study on prices for apartments in Armenia's provinces.
According to the Armenian State Real Estate Cadastre, the number of real estate transactions in the country rose 12.3% in 2014, compared with 2013, to 214,000. About 33% of the deals were registered in Yerevan.
Some 53,000 real estate alienation transactions were registered in Armenia in 2014. Purchase-sale deals made up about 75% of them.
The number of sale-purchase deals on apartments in residential blocks in Armenia rose 13.3% throughout 2014 and prices went 0.8% up.
The highest average price was recorded in Kentron (Center)– 428,000 drams per one square meter in apartment blocks in 2014 against 427,000 in 2013, and the lowest price in Nubarashen -155,600 drams in 2014 against 150,900 in 2013. ($1 – AMD 479.74). ----0----
