Dzulakentron to increase production of alloys of ferrous and non-ferrous metals up to 8 million tons

Armenian company Dzulakentron (Alloys Centre) plans  to increase  production of the alloys of ferrous and non-ferrous metals up to 8 million tons, up from  6.8 million tons two years ago, its chief executive officer, Artak Meltonyan, said today as prime minister Tigran Sargsyan was visiting the plant.

YEREVAN, April 3. / ARKA /. Armenian company Dzulakentron (Alloys Centre) plans  to increase  production of the alloys of ferrous and non-ferrous metals up to 8 million tons, up from  6.8 million tons two years ago, its chief executive officer, Artak Meltonyan, said today as prime minister Tigran Sargsyan was visiting the plant.

"The company’s major partners are the Zangezur copper-molybdenum plant, as well as mills in Kapan Agarak, Drmbon (in Nagorno-Karabakh) and Akhtala,” he said.

He noted that the company paid all its debts accumulated as a result of 2009 crisis. In 2012, it produced and sold 4.15 billion drams worth products, an increase of 50% from the previous year.

The plant has currently 325 employees on its payrolls with average salary of 245,000 drams. In the first three months of 2013 the company produced 710 million drams worth products, by 17 percent more from a year before, while sales reached 925 million drams, by 57 percent more than in the same period of 2012.

Dzulakentron was on the 144th position in the list of largest taxpayers last year, paying 670 million drams in various taxes.

Dzulakentron was created in 1966, in 1997 it  was privatized and reorganized into an open joint stock company. ($ 1-417,84 drams).  -0-
