EBRD named key partner for Armenia

YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. EBRD is a key partner for Armenia, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at a meeting with EBRD Regional Director for South Caucasus Alkis Vryenios Drakinos in Yerevan on Friday.
The interlocutors discussed the implementation of the programs in Armenia in cooperation with the EBRD.
In this context, Grigoryan emphasized the EBRD's activity in the projects implemented with Armenia's private sector and the role of the EBRD in the process of implementing the economic and investment plan approved by the EU.
During the meeting the organization of the EBRD annual meeting and business forum in Yerevan (May 14-16) at high level was also highlighted.
The EBRD is one of the leading institutional investors in Armenia. Its main priorities in Armenia include enhancing the competitiveness of companies and supporting financial sector intermediation through risk-sharing products.
EBRD has invested over €2 billion in 207 programs in the country in areas such as energy, infrastructure, telecommunications and finance. -0-
