YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. Members  of the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union are working on ways to shift to using  their national currencies in  natural gas trading as part of a general concept on the formation of the single gas market, Danil Ibraev, the energy minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the executive arm of the EEU, said today, according to Interfax.

Following a EEC Board meeting today in Moscow,  a deputy Kazakh prime minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev told reporters that the concept was approved. He said a similar concept on the general market of oil and oil products was not finally approved by the board. Ibraev said the stumbling bloc is the upper limit of the price of oil.

Earlier it was reported that the EEU would seek  to create a single gas market with common  exchanges and  equal prices. A corresponding concept was approved at the end of December last year by EEC  board.-0-
