The European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will support Armenia’s small and medium companies in attracting investments and with consulting, Tigran Aghabekyan, head of the program of the EBRD group for supporting small- and mid-scale businesses, told journalists on Wednesday.

The European Union and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will support Armenia’s small and medium companies in attracting investments and with consulting, Tigran Aghabekyan, head of the program of the EBRD group for supporting small- and mid-scale businesses, told journalists on Wednesday.
In his words, training will be offered to financial consulting companies’ employees for helping them in searching new financial resources.
“This initiative will allow small and medium entrepreneurs not only to attract additional investments in development, but will also train them in more decent presentation of their companies to potential investors and ensure growth to Armenia’s capital market,” Aghabekyan said.
Hoa-Binh Adjemian, head of the Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation to Armenia, on hi side, said that SME development is one of the European Union’s top-priority objectives, especially in Armenia, where the best international experience and will be applied to foster development of small and medium entrepreneurship in Armenia.
Gavin Ryan, an international expert, as part of this initiative, will share his 25-year experience in searching investments for SME.
He said that development of corporate stock market is the best way for developing small and medium businesses.
The training for representatives of consulting companies will be conducted on October 23 and 24 in Yerevan. --0------
