Five car washes closed in southern Armenia for water drainage violations

YEREVAN, December 10. /ARKA/. By the decision of the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and Mineral Resources of Armenia, the operations of five car washes in Syunik and Vayots Dzor have been suspended.

As a result of inspections, it was found that two facilities in Kapan (Syunik), owned by local individual entrepreneurs, were discharging dirty water from car washes into the Voghji River.

In addition, three more individual entrepreneurs who own car washes in the Areni community (Vayots Dzor) did not have permission for wastewater drainage.

“Gazprom Armenia” CJSC's license extended until January 1, 2026

At a meeting on Monday, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia extended the license of “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC to import gas into Armenia for one year, until January 1, 2026.
