Government facilitates customs clearance of goods worth up to 200 euros
YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has approved today a string of legislative amendments providing for simplification of customs clearance procedures.

Economy minister Artsvik Minasyan said under the proposed changes which are to be approved by the parliament, the services of customs brokers and payment of customs duties will not be obligatory in exporting and importing of goods worth up to 200 euros.

"This amendment will facilitate the activities of SMEs and citizens; in addition, it is supposed to essentially raise business activity. In fact, in the export and import of goods worth up to 200 euros, the financial burden is facilitated by about 30-40 thousand drams",  Minasyan said. -0-
