The median gross monthly wage in Armenia in March 2015 was 1.6% higher than in February reaching 176,269 drams ($USD369 or 22,172 Russian rubles), the National Statistical Service (NSS) reported today.

YEREVAN, May 8. / ARKA /. The median gross monthly wage in Armenia in March 2015 was 1.6% higher than in February reaching 176,269 drams ($USD369 or 22,172 Russian rubles), the National Statistical Service (NSS) reported today.
In February 2015 the median gross wage was 173,556 drams, or about 0.2% more than in January and 10.4% more than in February 2014.
The highest median gross monthly wage in 2015 February was reported by the southern region of Syunik - about 198,100 drams, while the lowest wage was in Aragatsotn region - about 125,400 drams. In Yerevan the median monthly gross wages in February was 187,400 drams.
In February, the highest salaries were boasted by financial and insurance organizations -348,200 drams, information and communications sector – 328,000 drams and the mining industry- 324,700 drams.
The lowest paid jobs were in hotel and catering sectors- about 111,400 drams, transport and communications – 113,500 drams, agriculture, forestry and fishing -117,400 drams, as well as culture, entertainment and recreation sectors -118,600 drams. ($ 1 - 480.96 drams). 0-
