YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. A major businessman Mikhail Baghdasarov is planning to sell his “Mika cement” factory, Zhoghovurd (People) daily reports.
Baghdasarov has been negotiating with the leader of “Prosperous Armenia” party Gagik Tsarukyan over the deal since long ago, according to the newspaper.
Tsarukyan may accept the offer and buy the factory, having in mind that he is the owner of another cement plant, Araratcement, the newspaper says.
Yet, the press secretary of “Prosperous Armenia” Iveta Tonoyan refuted the information.
“The information has no basis in fact, Gagik Tsarukyan has no such an intention”, she told Zhoghovurd reporter.
According to earlier mass media allegations, Tsarukyan has an interest in buying Armavia, Armenian air company owned by Baghdasarov. The licence granted to Armavia expired on March14, and the Armenian government has not made its mind up yet on whether to extend the license or not. -0-
