YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Some 50,000 people have relocated to Armenia over the past 4-5 weeks, the bulk from Russia, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.

"According to the data, which I have, about 50 thousand plus or minus a few thousand people have arrived in Armenia. Some of them have never been to Armenia, some have not been for a long time, some have Russian passports, and some others have Armenian passports. According to the Central Bank, 20,600 bank accounts were opened, 300 companies and 1,000 individual entrepreneurs were registered. I think this figure has grown even more by now. We also know about a number of businesses, which started operating in Armenia," said Kerobyan.

According to him, the main function of the government is to make these people feel at home in Armenia.

"For example, there is a company with a capitalization of $17 billion, which has relocated 15% of its employees to Armenia," said Kerobyan, without mentioning the name of the company.-0-
