YEREVAN, July 20. /ARKA/. A new agricultural fair will start functioning on July 23 near Yerevan’s Mashtots Avenue in the vicinity of Malibu café, the press office of the Armenian agriculture ministry reported on Wednesday.
On June 11, another agricultural fair opened in Kasyan Street. The fair is open every weekend. Some 1,740 farms from various provinces have taken part in it since the opening day.
Some 40 to 50 tons of agricultural products are sold here every day. Farmers offer exclusively their own products here.
Farms’ participation in the fair is free – the agriculture ministry is providing stalls and trolleys to them for nothing.
The first agricultural fairs were held in Yerevan in 2011. Farmers are allowed to the fair only if they submit appropriate evidence given by provincial agriculture-supporting centers that the products exposed in the fair are their own. --0----
