Passenger transportation in Armenia increased by 6% in February 2016 when compared to the same period of 2015, reaching 17.1 million people, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. Passenger transportation in Armenia increased by 6% in February 2016 when compared to the same period of 2015, reaching 17.1 million people, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to the statistics, 89.5% of passengers or 15.3 million were transported by road motor transport. The electric transport accounted for 9.7% of the total or 1.7 million people; some 115,000 passengers (0.67%) were transported by air and 22,800 (0.13%) –by railway. -0-
