YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Food Safety Inspection Authority said today it has banned imports of a number of products. The ban comes after November 23-28 border monitoring conducted to determine whether imported foods complied with established requirements.

The ban covers poultry meat from Brazil (64,000 kg), which was contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes; cattle by-products from Brazil (2,2509 kg), which were also contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes; pork from Brazil (50,976 kg), also contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes); iodized salt from Iran (1,325 kg) due to excessive iodine content. -0-
