A delegation of Russian business people are in the Armenian capital for discussing ways to boost cooperation between the capital cities of both countries at Business Marathon-2014 that has kicked off today.

YEREVAN, October 9. / ARKA /. A delegation of Russian business people are in the Armenian capital for discussing ways to boost cooperation between the capital cities of both countries at Business Marathon-2014 that has kicked off today.
Speaking at the opening ceremony Armen Harutyunyan, the head of development and investment programs division of the Yerevan municipality, said the Yerevan Mayor's Office attaches great importance to cooperation with the private sector.
“We have been working for a year with trade representative of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, and we have some contacts with Russian entrepreneurs, " he said.
According to him, the gathering is a new format that will definitely help entrepreneurs not only learn about each other, but also begin specific cooperation.
On the first day of the forum entrepreneurs from Moscow and Yerevan are expected to have more than 80 bilateral meetings.
On the same day there will be a round table with the participation of Yerevan logistics, certification and patenting experts on the possibilities of cooperation between Moscow enterprises and Armenia.
The second day will be devoted to visits to the offices of Yerevan companies to assess the industrial and commercial opportunities and to discuss details of cooperation. Visits will also be organized to industrial enterprises for exchange of experiences and discussion of opportunities for industrial cooperation.
In 2014, the Business-Marathon is being held in 41 cities in Russia and foreign countries. The Yerevan gathering is a joint effort of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow government and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia. -0
