Six Armenia-based insurance companies pay 8.7 billion drams in 40,939 car insurance compensation claims in 2015

All six Armenia-based insurance companies paid a total of 8.7 billion drams in 40,939 car insurance compensation claims in 2015, a decrease of 12.7% compared to the previous year, a statement posted on the official website of Armenia’s Car Insurers’ Bureau says.

YEREVAN, January 20. / ARKA /. All six Armenia-based insurance companies paid a total of 8.7 billion drams in 40,939 car insurance compensation claims in 2015, a decrease of 12.7% compared to the previous year, a statement posted on the official website of Armenia’s Car Insurers’ Bureau says. 
According to the statement, the leading company by size of paid insurance claims was Rosgosstrakh – Armenia – 3.011 billion drams.

Ingo Armenia was second with more 1.9 billion drams, while Nairi Insurance was third with 1.014 billion drams paid in insurance claims.  Also Reso Insurance paid about 954 million drams, Sil Insurance-916 million drams and Armenia Insurance -621.5 million drams

According to the statement, in 2015 there were 457,878 insured vehicles in Armenia, by 12,229 more than in 2015 November.

Also the total amount of insurance premiums in 2015 dropped by 0.7 percent from the year earlier to 17.7 billion drams. 

The mandatory insurance against physical damage caused to other cars and individuals became mandatory in Armenia on January 1, 2012. ($1 – 485.87 drams). .—0–
