Tashir Capital to acquire another asset in Armenia
YEREVAN, August  23. /ARKA/. The Armenian government has adopted a draft decision today allowing Tashir Capital, owned by Samvel Karapetyan, a Russia-based billionaire of Armenian origin, to assume the trust management of the entirely government-owned High Voltage Electric Networks closed joint stock company.

Under the trust management agreement, all 649,231 shares of High Voltage Electric Networks will be given to the trust management of Tashir Capital. The face value  of a share is of 13,600 drams (the total value is 8.8 billion drams).

According to the preliminary agreement, the company will assume the trust management for a period of 5 years with the subsequent possible prolongation of the contract for the same term and the same conditions. The government says the trust management of the company will help streamline its maintenance costs  by synchronizing its operation with the national power distribution company Electric Networks of Armenia (also owned by Tashir Capital.)

The High Voltage Electric Networks runs the closed ring network of high-voltage transmission lines in Armenia with a voltage of 220/110 kV.

Tashir Group of Samvel Karapetyan acquired the Electrical Networks of Armenia  and the Hrazdan thermal power plant in September 2015  from the Russian power holding Inter RAO UES. ($ 1 - 478.55 drams). --0--
