Tashir group of companies to invest $40 million in construction of RIO trade and entertainment center in Yerevan

The Russia-based Tashir Group of Companies, one of the largest developers there, said today it will invest $40 million in construction of a RIO trade and entertainment center in the Armenian capital city of Yerevan.
YEREVAN, November 20. / ARKA /. The Russia-based Tashir Group of Companies, one of the largest developers there, said today it will invest $40 million in construction of a RIO trade and entertainment center in the Armenian capital city of Yerevan.
The center is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2015. Tashir said it runs now 20 RIO centers in 16 Russian cities. The Yerevan center will be selling the most well-known Russian, Armenian and international brands.
The Yerevan RIO center will be located at Arabkir District at the intersection of Kochar and Papazyan streets on one side and Saralanj Avenue on the other side, Sargis Karapetyan, the vice president of Tashir Group of Companies, was quoted as saying in a company press release.
He said the company has accumulated a huge technical potential and is ready to further expand its geographical presence and enter international markets. He recalled that in 2012 Tashir opened Dalma Garden Mall in Yerevan.
"We hope that with the opening of RIO center residents of Yerevan will get a new opportunity of buying quality goods and spending their leisure time in comfortable conditions of a modern mall that meets international quality standards, and the city will get additional retail space and new jobs," said Karapetyan.
The anchor tenants of RIO center will be a supermarket, a Cinema Star and a children's entertainment center Play Lab.-0-
