Armenia recorded 9.7% annual inflation in January-September 2008, the lowest in the CIS, the CIS Statistical Committee reports.
YEREVAN, November 10. /ARKA/. Armenia recorded 9.7% annual inflation in January-September 2008, the lowest in the CIS, the CIS Statistical Committee reports.
Consumer prices rose 17% in the Commonwealth during the period under review. Armenia posted the lowest 0.5% inflation in the CIS between August and September.
All the CIS-members recorded inflation in the reporting period, with consumer prices hitting a record high in Tajikistan (30.8%), Kyrgyzstan (26.8%), Ukraine (26.2%), Azerbaijan (21.5%), Kazakhstan (19.2%) and Belarus (14.9%).
Russia posted 14.2% Q1-Q3 inflation.
