Corrupted prosecuting offices will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan said Wednesday at a cluster conference focused on corruption.

IJEVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Corrupted prosecuting offices will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law Armenian Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan said Wednesday at a cluster conference focused on corruption.

He said that the wrongdoers will be fired.

The prosecutor general also pointed out the necessity to involve the society in struggle against corruption.

Ed Flores, a representative of USAID, in his turn, said that centers for supporting citizens’ interests are operating in all the provinces of Armenia.

In spring 2008, the Prosecutor General’s Office decided to hold corruption-related cluster conferences regularly.

Since then three cluster conferences have been held in Vanadzor, Yeghegnadzor and Yerevan.

The fourth conference held in Ijevan on Wednesday, was attended by representatives of prosecutor’s offices, police departments and the State Revenue Committee.

Armenian President’s Assistant Gevork Kostanyan and Chairman of Civil Service Council Manvel Badalayn spoke at the cluster conference.-0-
