Father of Singaporean miracle to participate in meeting of Armenian national competitiveness council

Minister Mentor of Singapore father of Singaporean economic miracle Lee Kuan Yew is to participate in the 12th extended meeting of Armenian National Competitiveness Council today, the council press service reported.
YEREVAN, September 18. /ARKA/. Minister Mentor of Singapore father of Singaporean economic miracle Lee Kuan Yew is to participate in the 12th extended meeting of Armenian National Competitiveness Council today, the council press service reported.
Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan is to open the meeting. Among issues on the agenda are economic development trends in Armenia and in the world and creation of all-Armenian network and a development project, says the report.
About 50 representatives of the private sector and donor organizations are expected to participate in the meeting.
The aim of the meeting to is to learn lessons from economic development of Singapore.
Armenia’s National Competitiveness Council has its executive body, Competitiveness Fund that was founded in 2008 as a joint government-private sector initiative. The Fund Board consists of 13 members, including six high ranking officials and six prominent Armenian businessmen from Armenia, Russia, Europe and the USA. The fund is headed by the country’s premier. –0--
