Armenia posts one of the lowest inflation rates in CIS countries

Armenia posted a 6.5% inflation rate last year, one of the lowest among other CIS countries, the CIS Statistical Committee reported, saying that the average inflation rate across the former Soviet space was 8%.
YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 11, /ARKA/. Armenia posted a 6.5% inflation rate last year, one of the lowest among other CIS countries, the CIS Statistical Committee reported, saying that the average inflation rate across the former Soviet space was 8%.
According to its figures, prices in Kyrgyzstan last year did not change, in Moldova they rose by 0.4%, in Azerbaijan-by 0.7%, in Tajikistani-by 5%, in Kazakhstan by 6.2%, in Armenia-by 6.5%.
The highest inflation rate was in Ukraine-12.3%, followed by Belarus-10%, Russia-8.8% and Uzbekistan-7.4%.
