Armenian prime minister takes part in opening of new hydropower plant in Karabakh

On the last day of his three-day visit to Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian prime minister Tigran Sarkisian attended the opening of a new hydropower plant Trge-1 that has 3 hydro turbine units each with 1 megawatt capacity.
STEPANAKERT, April 12, /ARKA/. On the last day of his three-day visit to Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian prime minister Tigran Sarkisian attended the opening of a new hydropower plant Trge-1 that has 3 hydro turbine units each with 1 megawatt capacity.
The second hydropower plant with two hydro turbines each with 3 megawatt capacity will be built by autumn, according to local authorities.
The ceremony was attended also by Nagorno-Karabakh president Bako Sahakian, Armenian defense minister Seyran Ohanian and other Armenian and Karabakh government officials.
Speaking to reporters Armenian prime minister said implementation of such projects will prompt a new wave of repatriation. He said bringing former residents of Nagorno-Karabakh back to their country should be one of the main priorities of the government in the next five years. -0-
